Obituary of Otto Doll

Otto Doll of Calgary, AB passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the age of 96 years.
Otto was born in Kuchl, Austria in the province of Salzburg on May 25, 1925. He immigrated to Canada in the 1950’s, and married Paula Wegscheider in 1956 in Calgary, AB where they began their family.
Otto was a talented and accomplished cabinetmaker and craftsman. He supplied his family and friends with many pieces of custom-made furniture, and designed and built the family cabin at Sylvan Lake, Alberta and spent many happy times there with family and friends. Otto had a passion for adventure and the outdoors, and spent much time fishing, hunting, and skiing in the mountains and wild places of Alberta.
Otto is survived by his daughter Kathy Doll of Calgary, AB; his two granddaughters, Sophie Hall of Calgary, AB and Rebecca Hall of Victoria, BC. Otto is also survived by his brother Rudi (Anna) Hogl of Sindelfingen, Germany, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins in Germany and Austria, and friends in Canada. Otto was predeceased by his wife Paula Doll.
