Obituary of Rose Marie Anna Briand

Rose Marie Briand of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the age of 82 years.

Rose Marie was born in Drumheller, AB on March 10, 1940. She moved to Calgary to attend the Holy Cross School of Nursing from where she graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1961. 

Rose travelled throughout the world to places such as Russia, France and Turkey. She would frequently go off the beaten track (and on the beaten trails) to sites like Machu Picchu, the Rose City of Petra and the Chilkoot Pass. Rose hiked extensively in the Canadian mountains she loved.  

She will be most remembered for her smile and sense of humour, her loving, kind, and giving spirit and for being there for the people she held close in her life. 

Rose is survived by her sister Terry Briand, her niece Kathyrn Dillelo, nephew Rob Carlson and his daughter Jessie.
