Obituary of Betty Florence Sneddon

Betty Sneddon (nee Fleming), beloved wife of William “Bill” Sneddon, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the age of 76 years.
Betty was born in Calgary, AB, August 30, 1945. She enjoyed Sunday dinner with her family around the kitchen table. Betty was a fantastic cook and often prepared “Corned beef mousse” as a staple at many family gatherings. Betty was a beautiful woman both inside and out and enjoyed the simple things in life. Whether it was a nice outfit or the right tablecloth or a good roast beef dinner.
Besides her loving husband Bill, Betty is survived by her daughter Tracy Collyer and her son-in-law, Ryan Collyer, of Calgary, AB; son Timothy Sneddon, and daughter-in-law Jessica Brereton; and three grandchildren, Benjamin, Callum, and Aiden of Calgary, AB. Betty is also survived by her two sisters, Beverley Munson, and Dixie Lawson. Betty was predeceased by her mother and father, Florence Fleming and Walter “Dick” Alexander Ives Fleming, and sister Barbara Shortreed.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses, staff and doctors of unit 36 at the Foothills Hospital for their care of Betty in the past few weeks.
A Memorial Service will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
