Scott Vidler of Calgary, AB passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the age of 57 years.

 

Scott was born in Regina, SK on January 29, 1965. He moved to Calgary, AB, in 1971, at the age of 6. He attended Crescent Heights High School, where he made many lifelong friends. Scott was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed all sports, but especially loved hockey. Scott played for many years and always enjoyed watching a good game as well. His knowledge of the game and its history made for many interesting conversations and debates over the years.

 

Scott is survived by his parents, Carole McCracken of Calgary, and Lorne and Norma Vidler of Cochrane; brother Jayme Vidler (Kirstie) of Cochrane, sisters, Terry McCracken of Calgary, and Jodi Collins (Chris) of Cochrane; nieces and nephews, Katelyn McCracken, Ashley McCracken, Cale McCracken, Claudia Collins, Bailey Collins, Teigan Vidler, and Tyler Vidler, all of whom had a special place in Scott’s heart. Also, very dear to Scott was his best friends Vince and Kate Johnston, and their daughters, Kirsten and Brianna. Scott was predeceased by his grandparents, Vic and Joyce Rogers, and Mary and Vernie Vidler; and his uncle Dean Vidler.

 

A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in the Rundle Community Association - Pub (2409 50 Street NE, Calgary, AB) from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. All friends wishing to remember Scott are welcome to come by.
