Obituary of Dave Smith

Our cherished son, David Gerrit Smith, of Calgary, AB passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the age of 38 years.

David was born in North Vancouver, B.C. on June 28, 1983, and graduated from Bishop Grandin High School, he also received an Accounting Degree from Bow Valley College. His greatest joys were Beefheart, Chloe, chess, nature, and photography. His beautiful photos helped so many people appreciate the world around us. His Facebook posts were very inspirational. His dry sense of humour and sharp, quick wit (with his father’s nerd tendencies) will be dearly missed.

David is survived by his mother, Lynne O’Rourke; father, Thomas Smith (with Carol Werry, Tanner and Sydney); sister, Danielle Gingras; brother, Adam Smith; Grandma Smith; as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins.
