So very sorry to hear about the passing of Irene. My father Adolf was her Mothers Nephew. I have very fond memories of her visiting our house in Edmonton and visiting her in Calgary usually around the time of Stampede. I was always in awe of her flowers..she was truly a farmers daughter with her knack for growing things. My Deepest Sympathy to her Children and Family.

We were shocked and saddened learning of Irene’s passing. Irene was our neighbour and friend.

Irene was always around for a chat, to help out in our garden - she would even sneak over and surprise use by plant horseradish and mint in the “best spots” or leaving us with the most beautiful hanging flower planters.

We are already missing her waves and greetings on our daily walks. Irene will be greatly missed by many in our community.
