Obituary of George Alfred Blayney

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of George Blayney beloved husband of Caroline. George passed peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the age of 91 years. 

George was a family man, a very hard worker, and a devoted husband right to the end. George was also a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was passionate about his family and loved all things golf. He was witty, and without any effort put all people around him at ease.

He will be lovingly remembered for his selflessness, kind heart, and integrity. Although we will miss him deeply, we take comfort in a lifetime of heart-warming memories.

George is survived by his adoring wife of 62 years Carrie (nee Penney), his Children Susan (Chris), Steve (Roberta) Mike (Wendy), Bill (Lynette) and Natalie; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Christopher (Audrey) Ashley (Craig), Derek (Sarah) Tyler (Alison), Stephanie, Nathan, Daniel, William. He was fortunate enough to be a great-grandfather to Rylee, Ryver, Ella, Nash, Kayden, Emery, Colton, Austin, Blayke, Parker, and Brooke.

He also leaves behind five sisters, Dorothy, Helen, Marianne, Linda and Susan.  He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Bob, Joyce, Chuck and William.

As per Georges wishes a private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here. In lieu of flowers, should you desire donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
