Condolences
Pup Pups... I think of you and miss you every single day... every single day!
Rest in eternal peace my soulmate...
I will love you forever! xoxo
I didn’t know Desiree very well, but her husband Rae was once my boss. One thing was certain…Rae was so much in love with Desiree, she was his everything. His eyes would light up whenever he spoke of her. Pictures of this beautiful woman were all over his office. Rest well, Desiree.
I first met Desiree 30+ years ago, when her mom, Marian, was the manager at my apartment building, Mount Royal House. I was lucky to become acquainted with the whole family over time: Charles, Inga and Desiree; they were all kindness, fun and so welcoming! Later, I knew Desiree socially thru mutual friends in the PA/oil company world. Every memory of her is that golden spotlight in any room, laughing, dancing, living life to the fullest! I always envied her fashions & ready to go anywhere at any moment vivacity :) She was a special soul that touched many lives. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. Shine on, Desiree! Thank you for sharing your spark with the world. My condolences and deepest sympathy to her family & friends.
I was saddened to hear about the recent passing of Desiree. I first met Desiree and her sister Inga and their Mom and Dad 30 years ago and yet it seems like Yesterday. Time sure goes by quickly. The very first time I met them it felt like I had known them for years already as they were all warm and friendly towards me.
I have many fond memories from over the past 30 years of knowing Desiree and feel fortunate to have met her and her family. I have always admired Desiree's sense of adventure over the years. I enjoyed hearing Desiree's laughter over the years. For all of us that are mourning the loss of Desiree, Let us all cherish the time we got to spend with Desiree and let all of us live life to the fullest just like Desiree did.
Sherry and I were so sorry to hear about Desiree. Rae, you and Desiree made such a beautiful couple. You loved each other so much and enjoyed so many things together.
We always enjoyed visiting with Rae and Desiree for special occasions like Christmas and for Stampede. Desiree always had that welcoming smile and a little twinkle in her eye. She always wanted people to feel so welcome in her home.
Rae, we are praying for much comfort and peace in your heart for the days to come.
Love,
Phil and Sherry Levson
To Inga & Family:
When they leave us too soon and the time we had was too short, there is a hole that cannot be filled and an ache that cannot be soothed. But days will come when memory will bring a smile before it brings pain.
A life lived well, the people your sister has touched with her spirit, stories and laughter you’ve shared. These are gifts given, treasures to store, to remember her fondly when the darkest hours have passed.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
A love story for the ages… Rae’s light shone brightest when Desiree came into his life. It was easy to observe that they were both cut form the same cloth. They seamlessly fit together and immediately sensed they would always be committed to one- other, in fact their infinity rings bear witness to their union.
Their passion for relishing time, experiences, and dancing together, in beautiful rhythm with Johnny Cash’s You’re the Nearest Thing to Heaven perhaps exemplifies their love.
Desiree is admirably the most down to earth and genuine person; whom you could chat with about anything. Desiree’s vivacious nature captivates those around her, with her wonderful laugh, and sense of humor. Des and Rae’s parties and Ranchman’s dance -ups were always special invitations never to be missed.
How wonderful that Desiree opened her heart to not only Rae, but his beautiful daughters too. Desiree spoke lovingly of her family and wonderful relationship with her beloved mom. May our fond memories keep Desiree close to her loved one’s and heal their broken hearts.
If the greatest tribute to one’s life is the degree to which we impact others with love and kindness, then Desiree can triumphantly dance her way into heaven, singing “A thing called love”.
To Dez..To a Beautiful Daughter -In - Law ..My heart is so broken that I wont be seeing you in body sitting in your place at the table but Your Spirit will always be there ..The LOVE you gave my Son was one I will cherish for ever you were Soul Mates .His Love for you was the same ..I will have you in a Special corner of my Heart that is yours and only yours and some day when we meet again I will see your big smile and get that Special Hug ..God took a Angel from us so he could have Special Angel ..Rest In Peace Dez .I Love You ..Mom Fehr ..
I had the pleasure and honor to have known and worked with Desiree for a few years! What a wonderful caring, compassionate, loving, fun woman she was. She certainly left an impact on me. I was completely devastated and will be for a very long time to hear of her passing. Desiree loved and cared intensely! Rae, she loved you unconditionally! She respected and treasured you deeply. Des’s family was also so loved and respected by her. My sincere condolences to Rae and Desiree’s family. We lost an angle, but Heaven gained one. May this beautiful woman rest in peace.

Desiree was an amazing woman. She was kind, bubbly, always smiling and would do anything for those she cared about. I will miss the chats we woul have in passing in the plus 15 or out and about downtown (as we always would cross paths). I am sorry we haven't been able to do that lately, I truly enjoyed them.
My sincerest condolences to her soul-pup and her family. She loved you all fiercely. May the memories we all have of and with her live on forever.
Desiree was a wonderful and caring person. She always had a smile on her face. It was a pleasure working with her and knowing her for many years. It is very sad that she is no longer with us but will live in our hearts and memories. She will be missed by many. My deapest sympathies to her family and friends.
My biggest condolences to Rae and all of Des's family. I was fortunate to have over 20 years of friendship with Des. She was a special blend of honest, caring and optimistic and she lit up any room she walked into. I am unbelievably saddened that she has left us, and grateful for all the wonderful memories I have of her.
Dear Désirée,
I keep a place for you
Where no one els can see.
I have this gift nobody has.
The bond between you and me.
At time, I can not feel you are here
And that pain won’t go away.
But when I search my place for you
You’re with me every day.
My Dear Desiree you’re not lost,
You don’t need to be found
I have got you here in my heart.
Where we’re forever bound.
I mis you so much and love you so much,
Mom
To all the family of Dez
I met Dez years and years ago through doing her hair. She stressed me out with this long beautiful blonde hair she would never cut .I came to know her thru the years as a very soulful wonderful woman so caring loved her family and when she met Rae she was so happy . I will miss our yearly talks with trimming her hair ever so slightly I am so glad we crossed paths in our lives she will be missed
My thoughts and prayers are sent to you all

Desiree was a soul unlike any other. I am so lucky that her paths aligned with my Dad, and I feel blessed to have seen 12 amazing years of her love. Thank you for being such a pillar to our family. Love and miss you, Des. Until we meet again ❤️
My dearest friend Desiree, I only heard of your battles earlier this week. My heart is broken knowing that you are no longer with us. You are a beautiful soul with a light that will forever shine as bright as you did. I was so fortunate to have had the chance to not only work along side you but to have shared many laughs with you. You will never be forgotten!
May you rest in eternal peace. Love you beautiful lady.

Desiree was the big sister I never had when I was a teen and into my 20s. Being friends with Inga for more than 32 years, Desiree was always the one to either help us out of trouble or help us find it! I always looked up to her and know my life is richer having had her in it. To her family and friends, our deepest condolences on the loss of this generous kind soul. We will always remember you with love. Nicole Frandsen and Pat Huot.
