Condolences
Im so sorry for the loss of your mom. She was a special lady who loved everyone. Ivana, Jerry, and Jennifer, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Our deepest condolences and prayers to the Papararo & Urciuoli families.
May the memories shared with Lina keep her in your hearts forever.
Luigi & Lucy Falcone
You are always nervous to meet your partner’s parents for the first time, but when Jenifer took me to Calgary in 2016 whatever anxiety I felt was quickly melted away by the warmth, love and mischievous humour of Tony and Lina Papararo. Unselfconsciously and unreservedly they accepted me into their home and into their lives.
I truly loved spending time with Lina. I liked her easy going nature, her playful sense of humour and the stories she told me about her life in Canada, England and Italy. Lina was a natural conversationalist. It was easy to sit and talk about anything or nothing. And of course I loved her cooking -- her rapini, her manicotti, her pasta sauce, her eggplant parmesan, her gnocchi. Everything was so good. Lina taught me what real Italian cooking was and I looked forward to it whenever we visited.
Over the last several difficult years, Jenifer and I made a routine of calling Lina every evening. I looked forward to hearing her voice. I tried to try to make her laugh at least once on each call, which wasn’t hard. Even now, when I look at the clock at that time in the evening I catch myself thinking ‘It’s time to call Lina.’ And there’s a part of me that’s tempted to call her number just in case somehow I could talk to Lina one more time.
My sincerest condolences to Jenifer, Ivana and Gerry, and to the extended family.
Ivana, Jennifer & Gerry,
I was so sad to hear of your moms passing. Both your mom & dad hold a very special place in my heart along with my childhood memories. Rafaela always had such a calm demeanour and a smile on her face. Although we weren’t related by blood, we always felt and will always feel like family. Sending you a heartfelt hug and am so sorry to be missing her service, but I’ll be away.
Love, Carmelina Smith

Jennifer, Ivana and Gerry,
Our sincerest condolences to all of you and the Urciuoli family and Papararo family.
For you mother was like a diamond, the greatest one of all, for sharing unconditional love whether big or small. Don't think of her
as gone away her journey's just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one.
With love from all of us, Darrin, Lisa and Adriana Witt and Immacolata Limongiello.
Mrs. Papararo was an exceptionally intelligent, wonderful, kind and generous woman with a sharp wit and incredible patience. For many years, she provided a home away from home for me; she was the Italian ma I never knew I needed to have in my life. Through those years, she provided food, and more food, and even more, she provided a non-judgemental ear and unparalleled hugs. I also was blessed to get to know the family. Condolences to Ivana, Jerry and of course Jenifer, who brought me into the fold. Her memory will shine bright.
