Obituary of Ross Innes

September 29, 1941 – Regina Saskatchewan

June 26, 2022 – Airdrie, Alberta

Eugene Ross Innes passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, in the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB.

 Ross made Airdrie his home for the last seven years, where he lived with his loving wife, Patricia. They moved to Airdrie from Regina, SK, where they lived and worked most of their married life and had many friends and wonderful neighbours.

Ross, as he was known, was born in Regina, SK, on September 29, 1941, to parents Peggy and Bill Innes, whom he considered to be strong and loving parents who raised him to have a strong work ethic, sense of morality, and compassion. Those whom Ross worked for, like Sterling Trucks, would agree, you couldn't find a harder worker.

Through his life, Ross had many adventures which included service in the Armed Forces, where he was stationed at the North Pole; travelling around the world with Pat to Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean; and following his incessant curiosity and desire to learn new things such as scuba diving and playing the saxophone. Ross had a huge heart for young children and animals. He had a particular soft spot for dogs, especially Airedales later in his life. In his retirement, Ross became an avid golfer and enjoyed reading and learning about history.

Ross will be missed by his family and friends who loved him including Patricia, his sister-in-law Stephanie Wohlberg, his nephew Garett and his family, and nephew Tim and his wife. He will be greeted in Heaven by his mom, dad, brother-in-law Wayne Wohlberg, and beloved family, friends and pets who passed before him.
