I met Alison in the 1980s at Parkdale School, where we both volunteered. When Alison took a job in the library there, I volunteered with her until 1992. Some years later I joined her at Queen Elizabeth Elementary School to help out in the library there. I have so many good memories of those times. She ran those libraries well and did whatever she could to get kids to read. Alison and Debbie and I would sit down for a snack during recess and that was when I learned what a good cook she was as she would bring things from home. Always delicious. After her retirement Alison and Debbie and I got together for lunch on a regular basis until COVID got in the way. Thanks for the good memories, Alison! I will miss you.
