Condolences
Mr. Kavalinas, that is what I always called him, even though when I got older he told me to call him Stan. Mr. Kavalinas made the best pancakes in the shape of teddy bears, and was always up for some fun. Some of my fondest memories are sleeping over with Lyn and Tao and always having a great time. Our families spent many a Sunday at StorylandValley Zoo, enjoying picnics, and running down the hills as fast as possible. Many a time we ended up rolling down most of the way. Stan spoke at our wedding and I will always remember the special things he said. Mom and Stan have been friends for 70 plus years, and Stan worked with my dad, Jim Allison, at the railway. I am so glad I have many wonderful memories of Stan, Phyllis and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, and he will be missed. Dan & Susie (Allison) Derouin
On behalf of the CNPA (Canadian National Pensioners Association) and ROSA (local branch), our deepest condolences to the family of Stan Kavalinas. I had the pleasure of working with Clayton, and upon his untimely passing, I meet Phyllis and Stan, these three were really good people, and now with Stan's passing they are back together again.
