June 28, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Conrad Kootenay, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the age of 52 years.

Conrad attended Exshaw school in Morley and went on to complete Grade 10 at WJ Collette High School in Calgary, AB, with his family and peers.

Conrad enjoyed and was interested in a wide range of sports and activities. He was a steer rider at a young age and an avid hockey player; from the Morley Pee-Wees to leading victories for the Wesley Hockey team as a goaltender. He loved hunting wild game to provide for our family and become a marksman. He also enjoyed fishing. Another interest he enjoyed and excelled in was riding his motorcycle and he could have become a good motorcross racer.

He worked for the Stoney Public Works for a time during the 1990s and most recently worked for Bearspaw Housing. In his last years he loved riding his bicycle in around the Centex and to his home. Conrad was a caring and giving person, who helped and did what he could for his loved ones, family, friends, and others within the community.
