Obituary of Nicolas Bérubé

December 5, 1996 – Lasalle, Quebec

June 29, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with profound sadness that we announce Nicolas Bérubé, our son, brother, and friend, passed away as a true and brave fighter at his home on Wednesday, June 29th, 2022, at the young age of 25 years.

Nicolas was born in LaSalle, Québec, he lived for 17 years in Notre-Dame de l’Ile Perrot where he went to school and developed many friendships and passion for hockey and soccer in which he excelled.

Our loving Nico passed away in Calgary, Alberta, which he called home for the last 9 years thanks to his large group of friends who remembers him as a fearless, brave, caring, and vibrant soul. Nicolas was a real adrenaline seeker who absolutely cherished his sport car and motor bikes, which he cared for lovingly. He will be remembered as a hard worker, for always going above and beyond in everything he did and always being up for the next adventure whether it was a hike up the mountain, sky diving, travelling or simply a good time with his friends. This is what truly sparked his soul.

Nicolas is survived by his parents Pierre Bérubé and Patricia Sobarzo, his sister Carolina Jepson, brother-in-law Sam Jepson, niece and godchild Mila Jepson, and many relatives and friends.

His Celebration of Life will be held, on Friday, July 8th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at McInnis & Holloway “Crowfoot” located at 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB. Do not stand at my grave and weep.

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow;

I am the diamond glints on the snow;

I am the sunlight on ripened grain;

I am the gentle autumn’s rain.

When you waken in the morning’s hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there, I did not die.

In living memory of Nicolas Berube, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB T3G 2T3, Telephone: 403-241-0044.
