Obituary of Jacqueline Jean Willumsen

Jacquie Willumsen of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the age of 77 years.
Jacquie was born in Dagenham, Essex in England on March 12, 1945. She arrived at Pier 21 in Halifax after the Second World War where she then went on to build her passion for Canada and Calgary her entire life.
Jacquie spent her entire life taking care of people; ensuring that everyone she cared for felt loved and appreciated. She was known for her thoughtfulness, kindness, sense of humor, and excellent (and very confident!) social skills. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on the Calgary Flames or make a new friend. Jacquie had a beautiful smile that she was happy to share with everyone around her.
After leaving a job she loved (and was very loved at), Jacquie spent her retirement enjoying the company of her loved ones, seeing the world on cruise ships and various vacations, and countless meals with loved ones at her favorite restaurants around Calgary. Her family and friends are all very grateful for all the memories and kindnesses she has shared, and that she is now at peace with her Favorite Date.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway, Fish Creek (14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre of the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos can be shared and viewed here.
