Ryan Ladouceur of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the age of 46 years.

 

Ryan was born in Windsor, ON, on February 14, 1976. He moved to Calgary, AB in 1982. Ryan graduated from the Vancouver Adult Centre High School with a grade twelve diploma. He later joined the Armed forces and was stationed in Camp Borden in Ontario.

 

Ryan was a volunteer at The Mustard Seed and Drop-in Center in Calgary. He accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of overcoming and dealing with his mental illness. Ryan enjoyed music, growing flowers, and drawing art, and he loved his family most of all.

 

Ryan’s most memorable vacation was when he was thirteen and we went to Medicine Hat water slides. He will be most remembered for his kindness and honesty and his remarkable ability with people.

 

Ryan is survived by parents, Mike and Julia Redford; his two brothers and two sisters-in-laws, Jason and Kristy Ladouceur residing in Calgary, AB and Kevin Ladouceur and Jonah Dela-Rosa residing in Vancouver, BC. He is also survived by his grandmother Marie Pegg and Joann McMurray, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ryan was predeceased by his father Richard Ladouceur, his grandfather Harry Ladouceur Of Windsor, ON, his grandfather James Blanchette and grandmother Barbara Blanchette Of Calgary, AB, his grandfather James Pegg of Windsor, ON and grandfather David Wayne McMurray of Claresholm, AB.

 

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Ryan’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
