Obituary of Rosemarie Lucas

July 5, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Rosemarie Lucas, beloved wife of Kenneth Lucas, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the age of 76 years.

Rosemarie (Schnautz, Schröder) married Kenneth in 1961 and they enjoyed many travels and raising a family together.

Besides her loving husband, Rosemarie is survived by her two daughters Patricia (James) McKibbon and Christene (Christopher) Clark; her son Kenneth (Juanita) Lucas; seven grandchildren, Lorne (Eliza), Tess (Garrett), Christapher, Tara, Tanner, Tristan, and Tatjana; as well as two great-granddaughters whom she loved dearly, Freya and Thea.

Rosemarie had a passion for reading, especially mystery and fantasy novels of faraway lands, magic, and dragons. She loved to travel with her husband, enjoyed their beautiful garden, and was an exceptional cook. She was very talented with crochet and cross-stitch and will be remembered for her detailed needleworks that grace many of our family homes.

Rosemarie was an elegant woman, she told us stories of castles and her favourite place, the Black Forest. She loved spending time with her family and listening to German music. We will never forget her laughter and her love for us all.
