Diana Weimer (nee Souther) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the age of 71 years.

Diana was born in Calgary, AB, on April 16, 1951. She graduated from the S.A.I.T with a degree in welding and later married Harvey Weimer in 1991. Diana accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of being a model, welder, and quality control inspector, but was the proudest for being a mother, wife, and grandmother. She had a passion for politics and the Holy Bible. Diana’s most memorable vacation was when she went to the Panama Canal with Harvey; she said she always wanted to go back.

She will be most remembered for her love of family. She always stayed extremely busy, but family was always on her mind and in her heart. No matter how much she was under life’s different stresses, she would drop everything and come running when family asked.

Diana is survived by her children, Charles Moulton, Kathleen Moulton, Jill Thordarson, and Joanne Takala; stepchildren, Katreena Lowry, Nicole Weimer, James Weimer, and Trevor Weimer; as well as her grandchildren, Tyler Hoesktra, Mark Hoekstra, Cassandra Moulton, Samantha Moulton, Connor Moulton, Axel Lubeck, Michael Allan, Eric Takala, Corissa Lowry, Bethany Lowry, Deleena Lowry, Tanaya Weimer, Elijah Carnell, Josiah Carnell, and Benjamin Weimer.

Diana is also survived by her two brothers, Rick Souther, who resides in Lethbridge, AB, and Ron Souther, who resides in Taber, AB; including but not forgotten, family members that haven’t been mentioned. She loved you all dearly.  

Diana was predeceased by her loving husband Harvey Weimer, mother Evelyn Frey, father Walter Souther, two sisters Pat Ward (Souther) and Kim Tremblay (Souther); and granddaughter Alanta Moulton.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at (238 Copperfield Gardens, SE). Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
