Bonnie Venn (nee Hankins) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the age of 72 years.

Bonnie was born in Calgary, AB, on April 27, 1950. Bonnie graduated from Crescent Heights High School and went on to attend SAIT. Bonnie married Dale Venn in 1971. She was a member of the Alberta Good Sam, Red Hat Society, and National accessArts Centre and she volunteered with Good Sam, Global Fest, Shaw Charity Classic, National accessArts Centre, Strathmore Heritage Days, and ISU Speed Skating. Bonnie worked as an administration assistant with Texaco, Esso, Computing Devices Canada, and Shell.

Bonnie accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her daughter's graduation, having a child, and getting a job after a layoff. Bonnie loved golfing, needlework, arts and crafts, camping, and reading. She always enjoyed visiting during happy hour. Bonnie’s most memorable vacation was an Alaska cruise she went on in her 50’s. She will be most remembered for her loving and caring nature, opening her door to a friend in need, and helping in an emergency.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter Michelle Venn of Calgary, AB, one brother and two sisters-in-law, Bill and Carole Hankins of Calgary, AB, and Karen Hankins of Calgary, AB; sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Richard Eeftens of Rumsey, AB; as well as her aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bonnie was predeceased by her beloved husband Dale Venn in 2019, father Robert Hankins, mother Mary Elizabeth (Bessie) Hankins (nee Hallgren), grandparents, Erastus Hankins and Lily Graham of Bentley, AB, and Andrew Edgar and Marie Hallgren; and brother John Hankins in 2017; as well as two hamsters and six guinea pigs.
