LAVIGNE, Ernest Joseph “Ernie”

October 26, 1938 - Meota, Saskatchewan

July 13, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Ernie Lavigne, beloved husband of the late Margaret Lavigne (nee Allenby), passed away on July 13, 2022, surrounded by family in Calgary, Alberta.

Ernie will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Jackie (Leo) and Patty; his granddaughter Kimberlie; and his sister Laura Duncan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife of sixty-four years, Margaret; his sons Darren and Stewart; his son-in-law Mark; his brothers Phillip, René, Pierre, John, Amédé, Maurice, Leo, and Paul; and his sisters Aline Morin, Lucille Blanchard, and Claire Nickless.

The family would like to thank all who were involved in Ernie’s care, especially the caregivers at both AgeCare Skypointe and Bethany Riverview.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Monday, July 18, 2022, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. A Celebration of Ernie’s Life will be held in Edmonton on September 10, 2022. Please check back here for updates.
