Obituary of Mark Steven Loudoun
June 10, 1955 – Edmonton, Alberta
July 15, 2022 - Okotoks, Alberta
Mark Loudoun, beloved husband of Linda Loudoun, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at the age of 67 years. Mark passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and children at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks, AB.
Mark was born in Edmonton, AB on June 10, 1955, and moved to Calgary shortly after. Mark enjoyed visiting with his family in Victoria, BC where he developed his love for boats and sailing. Mark had incredible wood working skills and could build just about anything. His hobby was building RC Boats. His greatest joys next to his family were the blood sweat and tears that went in to making his RC Cargo ship (Pacific Eagle) and his Sailboat (Canada True). Mark dedicated over 42 years to his profession in the neon sign business before embarking on his six-year Cancer fight.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Linda of 38 years, his son Kyle, his daughter Laurie, son-in-law Matthew; and grandsons, Lucas and Liam. Mark is also survived by his brother Greg (Marilyn); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mark was predeceased by his Mother Muriel (Bonnie), Father Norman and brother Lindsay Loudoun.
A Celebration of life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek Hospitality Centre, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
