Obituary of Florence Shaw

Florence Isabel Shaw (nee Robertson), beloved wife of Malcolm Shaw, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the age of 88 years.

Isabel was born in Foremost, AB on September 27, 1933, to John and Florence Robertson. She married Malcolm in 1956.

She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Teaching Diploma. When she left teaching, she made taking care of her family her life’s work. 

Isabel enjoyed the outdoors; she loved to walk and hike and at home she loved to garden.  Isabel was very creative, when she wasn’t enjoying the outdoors, she would paint pictures of wildflowers or write stories for all of us to enjoy.

She will be most remembered for her kindness and her unconditional affection.

Besides her loving husband, Isabel is survived by her two sons Daryl (Ann) of Houston, TX and Neil, and Michelle (Katie). She was predeceased by her parents Florence and John G. Robertson and her brother John.
