Julian “Chic” Chikinda of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the age of 91 years, after a lengthy illness. He was predeceased by his wife Marie-Claude. Chic was a man of many interests and pursuits. 

Pursuant to Chic’s wishes, a modest celebration of his life is anticipated as soon as the latest outbreak of Covid subsides. It is hoped circumstances will allow a celebration to occur in late September. At that time, Chic’s life as a long-time Air Canada employee, parade clown, amateur palaeontologist, fisherman, gymnastics instructor and skydiver will be detailed. Chic wished to thank the staff and nurses at his Amica Aspen Woods home for their abiding compassion and care. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared with Chic’s family here.
