Obituary of William Francis MACKAY

March 7, 1942 – Calgary, Alberta July 10, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta William Francis “Frank” MacKay passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 77 years. Frank was born in Calgary on March 7, 1942. He grew up in Regina, SK and graduated from Campion College. Frank married Sandra Reed in 1968 and together they raised their three children in Calgary. Frank was the owner and operator of Curtis and Loucks for over thirty years before his retirement. He loved spending time with his family, his pets, doing crosswords and the Canadian Football League. Frank especially loved spending holidays with his family and enjoyed family barbeques. Besides his loving wife of fifty one years Sandra, Frank is survived by his three children, Bill (Sara Flaherty) of Iqaluit, NU, Heather (Paul Boucher) and Carrie (Colin McGilvery) of Calgary, AB; as well as seven grandchildren, Jae, Reed, Jack, Connor, Sam, Kathleen and Fiona. He is also survived by his sister, Lynne of Victoria, BC. Frank was predeceased by his parents, William MacKay and Frances Curtis (nee Farmer). At Frank’s request there will be no memorial service.
