Obituary of Diana Mickalean Babush
November 12, 1924 – Republic of Lithuania
July 30, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta
Diana passed away peacefully at Wentworth Manor on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the age of 97.
Blessed with good health over her 90+ years, Diana lived a vibrant life, devoting much of her time to her husband Bill, her two children, and her extended family. Her zest for life sent her on many travels around the world, but she was just as happy camping and hiking with her family in her beloved Rocky Mountains. She spent her summers tending to her beautiful garden, and also enjoyed sewing, knitting, dancing and entertaining family and friends. She also loved walking and playing with her special dogs.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Babush; son Robert Babush (Carol); and grandchildren, Nicole Babush, Sean Mishler (Shelly), Michele Mishler and their children and grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by many extended family, Jim Nevada (Kim), Steve Nevada (Diane), Kathy Lind, Mary Ann Hustad and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Diana was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years Bill, in 2000, her father, Anthony in 1987, brother, Victor in 1997, her mother, Mickalena in 2002, and daughter-in-law Blanche in 2003.
