Lydia Stokes of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at the age of 85 years.

Lydia was born in Innisfail, AB on October 11, 1936 as the fourth child in a large farm family.

Lydia enjoyed gardening, as well as knitting, crocheting, and jigsaw puzzles. She also loved going for walks and listening to old hymns. She was a fan of the Flames, Stamps and chuckwagon racing. Lydia adored all animals, but particularly our house pets!  And she sure loved her ice cream (especially neopolitan)!

Lydia is survived by her three daughters, Gina Stokes, Donna Lambert, and Marie (Jim) Wagner, all of Calgary. She is also survived by her grandchild, Joshua (Danyne) Lambert of Michigan, and his daughters, and siblings, Maggie (Bob) Seitz, Martha Lutz, Fred (Robin) Lutz and Rose (Dick) Wymenga, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends as well as recently discovered daughter, Cheryl Weiss, and family.

Lydia was predeceased by her spouse, Albert Stokes, and parents, Caroline and John Lutz, brother Reynie Lutz, and sisters, Elsie Zimmerman, Alma Robinson, and Emma Christman.
