Aunt Florence was (to me) the leader of the aunts. Not just because she was the oldest, but because Florence often took charge. I will always remember the summer in (1972?) I spent with Florence and her family. She seemed then so similar to (yet different from) my mother, Isabelle, that I thought of her as my "second mom". Perhaps I was also charmed by her homey homemaker quality.

I was so blessed to have Florence for an aunt.
