Obituary of Glenn Larry Ross

September 28, 1957 – Winnipeg, Manitoba

August 6, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Glenn Larry Ross (aka S.K.R) of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly in his home on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the age of 64 years.

Glenn was one of eight children born to Violet and Thomas Ross (deceased). It was in Esterhazy, SK, where Violet then met Michael Kacsmar (deceased) and found love for the second time and continued on her lineage, giving Glenn a total of ten siblings including himself. It always was a standing joke in the family that he came with a complete baseball team.

Glenn is survived by his loving siblings; Cheryl (Larry), Nancy, Valerie (Martin), Clara (Wayne), Robb (Tannis), Cindy (Terry), Patricia (Ernie), Michael (Kathy), sister-in-law Glenda, as well as his abundance of loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.  Glenn was predeceased by his brother Jim.

As a free-spirited person, Glenn hitchhiked across Canada, had a passion for music and a greater passion for sharing it to others, he cherished nature and was more comfortable up in a tree, on top of a roof or under the stars staring at the universe. His gentle kind nature is what steered him into a long nursing career caring for and helping others.  His stories, love of books, generosity, humor, and zest for life where among the many things that will be specially missed by family and friends.
