Michael Sieben

Obituary of Michael Sieben

January 19, 1947 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

August 7, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with very heavy hearts and with great sadness, that the family of Michael Sieben, announces his passing on Sunday, August 7, 2022.

Michael is survived by the love of his life, his wife Lorraine; his two daughters, Carmen (Rob) Huffman and Carrie Sieben; his son Kevin (Lindsay) Sieben; and his four, awesome grandchildren, Courtney, Grace, Orlando, and Alexus. Dad (Michael) had a huge, wonderful impact on all of our lives, and he will be deeply missed.

He was always positive and always saw the glass half full, right up until the end. He was the fun dad, husband, grandpa, and father-in-law, always cracking one-liners or giving helpful tips like "Don't eat yellow snow".

He was always a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh and have a good time. When entering their home, you always felt welcomed and very comfortable. Christmas was a big event with him playing Christmas music; the rest of the year, old-timey country music would be playing loud and proud with a big smile on his face.

He always had great fun spending time with his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and sisters; he was a true family man. He loved fishing in Saskatchewan and salmon fishing in BC. He also loved their annual spring trips to BC. Dad (Michael) was an avid Calgary Flames fan and dedicated the entire basement of their home to pay homage to “his” Flames. He created many fond, family memories that we will all treasure.

We love you Dad (Michael)
