Obituary of Ingeburg (Inge) Ann-Marie Demsky (nee Seeger)

February 4, 1934 - Dassel, Germany

August 7, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Sadly and unexpectedly, our beloved Inge Demsky of Calgary, AB, passed away at home, in her sleep at the age of 88 years.

Her animated presence will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Inge, with her daughter Ute, immigrated to Canada in 1958, joining her husband Arthur. She lived in southwest Calgary (Springbank) for most of her life. Inge was a well-respected businesswoman who thoroughly enjoyed operating Western Trophy Shop in downtown Calgary for nearly 60 years; her many loyal customers relied on her expertise and meant the world to her.

Inge loved fashion, always dressing beautifully. She was an avid traveller, making friends and acquaintances wherever she went. She was a dedicated newshound, a plant enthusiast, and an animal lover. She was a truly vibrant and engaging character right to the end.

Inge will always be remembered and loved by her daughter Ute Holewa (Bruno), grandchildren, Katarine and Andreas (Falon), great-grandchildren, Kaleh and Alayna and by her only sister Ursula Kottisch and family in Germany.

Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
