Obituary of Alan George Rhodes
March 24, 1948– Stockport, England
August 11, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta
Alan Rhodes of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully with his family beside him on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the age of 74 years.
Alan was born in Stockport, Cheshire, England on March 24, 1948. He moved to Calgary, AB, in 1980. Alan graduated from The University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He married Anne Teresa in 1969. Alan accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of his engineering career, which started in England and culminated in Alberta. Alan also had a pastime of model aircraft building. He will be most remembered for his love of classic cars. He also travelled extensively with Anne over the years.
Besides his loving wife Anne, Alan is survived by his two daughters and two sons-in-law, Rebecca and Josh Bell, who live in Dallas, TX; and Anna and Ryan Kozicky, who live in Calgary, AB; along with two grandsons, Lauchlan and Townes Kozicky, of Calgary, AB; and a step-grandson, Dawson Bell, of Dallas, TX. Alan is also survived by his sister, Lynne Tomlinson, and three brothers-in-law, Don (Lynne), Michael (Susan), and Brian (Diane), who all live in England. A private service will be held for immediate family.
