August 16, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta
Carol Anne Stang was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world on August 16th, 2022 at age 80.
She was born to Audrey and Jack Clark on June 12,1942. Carol loved golf, travelling, and playing cards. Only nine months after receiving a miraculous and life saving double-lung transplant in 1999, Carol was teeing up and back on the green. From adventures in Coeur D’alene to Myrtle Beach, Palm Springs to Phoenix, Carol and Elmer chased the sunny warm weather to find the most sociable golf courses, making friends along the way. Carol’s resilience and unbreakable spirit was supported and championed by her loving husband of 61 years. She will be missed by the many friends and family that loved her dearly.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Stang; sons, Jeffrey, Clayton (Liz); grandchildren, Otis and Es Stang; brothers Terry (Courtney) and Jack (Hannah) Clark; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Lung Association 502-885 Meadowlands Drive Ottawa, Ontario, K2C 3N2, Canada, Telephone 613- 569-6411, lung.ca.
