Condolences
Courtney was such an amazing person in every way. We met through her passion for dancing and she brightened up any room with her smile. We loved choreographing dance routines in our basements together, attending dance classes, spending endless lunch hours practicing and performing and of course cracking jokes. I was also blessed to have shared many laughs with her at our mutual restaurant job in our early years. Her memory lives on and she will be so incredibly missed. My condolences to her beautiful family.
Myself and the family are sending prayers and heartfelt condolences. So very very sorry for your loss.
Our family met Courtney when she visited Big Island. The adults were pleased to meet and get to know her, but the children were thrilled. Courtney was friendly, kind, fun and frequently surrounded by kids. Going by the rapport she built with the children in our families, her students were very lucky to have her as their teacher. Condolences to her family and friends.
The very first time I met Courtney was on my wedding day, (My husband and Andrew worked together and I was excited to meet Courtney).
On my wedding day Courtney was so kind and helpful, she saw me waiting for the bathroom as I was pondering on how I was going to do this with a huge dress!! Courtney could see the worry on my face and instantly came over to me and said Heyyy! Are you okay?!
I told her my worry and she said dont worry I can help you! So off we went together to the bathroom after only meeting a couple of hours prior. She held my dress up and helped me to fix myself back into it, which was rather hard and time consuming for her to fix the small buttons because she had her nails beautifully long! But she took her time away from the dance party to help me! This was just one occasion of Courtney's kindness and helpfulness that I saw. Our kids loved to go over to her home because they knew that they would get some delicious home baked cookies and other goodies! My memories of Courtney will forever last, A beautiful kind hearted lady with the most beautiful smile and amazing dance moves! We will never forget you Courtney. Our deepest condolences to all of Courtney's family and friends. She truly was a beautiful human inside and out.
My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Courtney, she was a beautiful soul and had a smile that would light up any room she walked into. I first met Courtney when I started at DTMS in Grade 8. I was new to the school and didn't know a single person. Courtney was my first friend and she took me under her wing and made sure I met all her friends and felt welcomed. I will never forget her quirkiness, her beautiful bright smile, and her fun and silly personality. May you rest in peace beautiful angel.
Courtney always had a smile on her face and lit up every room she walked in. I will treasure our friendship and the beautiful memories we made together. I am so grateful to have known her and forever thankful that we became fast friends and even got to travel together. Vegas, Edmonton and all around Calgary - she made everything fun. I will miss her every day.
Our hearts are breaking on the loss of Courtney. The times we met her were always full of positivity, smiles and love. She and Andrew’s love was radiant and you could see that in their sparking eyes when together. To all involved in this huge loss we are sending our love. Robena and Rudy
Courtney was unequivocally kind, funny and beautiful. Her smile was infectious and could bright up any room. My heart goes out to Courtney’s family, friends and everyone she’s touched.
Courtney was such a lovely person and friend. I remember meeting her while working at the Keg together and staying connected throughout the years. I remember dancing (well she danced - I sort of flopped around and Court encouraged me to keep trying!) to Just Dance and attending Mary Kay parties only to wear far too much make up. She was such a kind hearted person who will be greatly missed by all of those who she touched. It has been several years since I’ve seen Courtney but will miss her.
I had the privilege of growing up alongside the Verhelst family. My greatest memories include singing to The Beatles on road trips, spending summers together, endless play and being spoiled by Lisa’s baking. Courtney’s laugh, humour and inclusive personality will always be close to my heart. Her warmth and welcoming towards others will be so missed. My deepest sympathies to all her family and friends. Love you Corky

Our deepest sympathy to Andrew, Sheila, Sandy and all Courtney's family. Our prayers are with you all at this very sad time.
Courtney was always a pleasure to be around. Infectious smile, easy going, and always brought positive vibes wherever she went.
Although I did not know her as much as many of you, I do know how special she was to my dear friend Andrew. She fit right in with our group when Andrew introduced her, and we always looked forward to seeing them.
Forever in our hearts.
Something that will stay in my heart for the rest of my life is family dinners , game nights and vacations with Courtney and her loving family. I always got the best belly laughs when Courtney was in the room. Cousin I love you and I will miss you more then words can explain. Courtney touched everyone’s life she was a part of . That is something that will stay with me forever . I send love and hugs to friends and family that have been a part of Courtney’s life. I will always have you in my heart Courtney.
Love you.
