Bob Hird of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the age of 89 years.

Bob was born in Victoria, BC, on September 28, 1932. He joined the Air Force and was stationed at the base in Trenton, Ontario, for many years.

Bob’s most memorable vacation was when he and the love of his life, his wife Sandy took a cruise to Alaska. Bob loved fly-fishing golfing, and spending time with his family.

His favourite song was “Lighter Shade of Pale” by Procol Harem.

Bob is survived by his two sons, Robert, and Cameron of Alberta; two granddaughters, Shauna, and Kim; and three great-grandsons, Logan, Landon and Rain all of British Columbia. Bob is also survived by his brother Dan and sister-in-law Freda, sister-in-law Mary Lou, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bob was predeceased by his wife Florence “Sandy” Hird, brother John Hird and daughter Kathy Hird.
