Michael Sayers, loving husband of Debra Joy Sayers (nee Ward), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the age of 59 years.

Michael was born in Calgary, AB, on December 5, 1962. Michael was an integral member of the Cross Connection Control team at the City of Calgary – Water Services. He recently celebrated his 20-year anniversary with the City of Calgary, having started as a plumber with the Wastewater Treatment Plants before joining Cross Connection as an inspector.

Although Michael was exceptionally passionate about his career, when he wasn't working, you could find him in the mountains zooming around in his side-by-side or tinkering in his garage. He had the most outgoing and vibrant personality. Michael was more than just the life of the party; he was its soul. Everywhere he went he lit up the room and never had a hard time making friends. He will be most remembered for his incredible sense of humour, his infectious smile, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He will be missed deeply by many.

Besides his loving wife, Michael is survived by his two sons and daughter, Ryan Sayers of Calgary, AB, Sean Sayers of Calgary, AB, and Haley Sayers of Calgary, AB. Michael is also survived by his sister and brothers, Wendy Osborne, Pat Sayers, Grant Sayers, and their spouses, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
