Obituary of Dawn Kathleen Lhenen

October 19, 1934 – Camp Borden, Ontario

August 24, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Dawn Lhenen of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the age of 87 years.

 

Dawn was active in various groups, including A.R.M.T.A, an avid bridge player, a piano teacher for many years, and a lifelong member of the music community in Calgary.

 

Dawn will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joanne Thomson and Elizabeth (Garwin) Hancock; daughter-in-law Kathy Pawluk; grandchildren, Stephen Hancock, Mark (Monnette) Hancock, Kate Thomson, Sarah Thomson, and Alesha Pawluk-Lhenen; and great-grandsons, Mason and Matthew Hancock.

 

Dawn was predeceased by her husband Fred; and son Frederick Lhenen.

 

Funeral Services will be held at St. James Anglican Church (6351 Ranchview Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the Church. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Dawn’s service streamed live (https://youtu.be/-wJMxiA7Q7A) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may also be shared and viewed there.
