Obituary of Stanley Joseph Wrobleski

March 31, 1934 – Kitchener, Ontario

August 26, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Stanley (Stan) Wrobleski, adored husband of 61 years of Francine (Fran) Wrobleski, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at the age of 88 years.

Stan was born in Kitchener, ON, on March 31, 1934. He worked for Electrohome in sales and marketing for 30 years in Kitchener, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and Calgary, and retired at age 70 after running his own company. 

He loved playing football in high school, hiking and was an avid curler for most of his life. Stan was active in several churches, most notably St Andrew’s Presbyterian where he contributed to a variety of capacities over 45 years and proudly sang in the choir. He also volunteered at the Calgary Food Bank for many years.

He will be most remembered as a dedicated and loving husband and father. He devoted his life to his wife and three sons. He was most happy spending time with his family, maintaining their home, reading the paper, and watching his beloved football and hockey. He will be fondly remembered for his strong work ethic, generosity, humour, great values, and most notably his affable personality and kindness.

Stan is survived by his wife Fran; his three sons, Bradley of Edmonton, Craig (Monica) of Okotoks, and Jason of Vancouver. He is also survived by his two brothers, Theodore and Bernie (Susan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Stanley was predeceased by his mother Stella, father Stefan, and his sister Wanda.

A private family service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.

The family deeply thanks the doctors, nurses, and staff of unit 68 at the South Health Campus, Calgary for their great care and compassion.
