Obituary of Alice Newman

Alice Newman, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at the age of 102 years.
Alice was born in Grahamdale, MB on December 1, 1917. She married Henry Newman in 1937.
Alice’s greatest joy was her family. She had a passion for gardening and grew beautiful flowers and vegetables and also had a passion for cooking and baking. She loved horses and recalled horseback riding with her sister. She also had a deep faith. Alice had a special talent for drawing. She also enjoyed watching soap operas.
Alice is survived by her sons, Garry (Shannon) and Wesley (Lori), and daughter, Jane (Ron); grandchildren Richard, Kent (LeAnne), Cherie (Jerry), Brent (Amanda), Shelly, Cindy (Bruce), David (Michele), James (Masayo), Robert (Christie), Barret, Connor, and Brandon; sons-in-law, David and Dennis; and daughter-in-law Ruby. Alice is also survived by her sisters, Martha and Marion, sister-in-law Bernice and brother-in-law Herbert.
Alice was predeceased by her husband Henry; children, Marlene, Larry and Gladys; parents, Martin and Louise; sisters, Olga, Edith, Natalie (Tillie), Adeline (Ida), Lydia, Wanda, and Freda; brother Martin; brothers-in-law Henry, Fred, Ferinand, Albert, and Bernard.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
