Shane Louwenaar of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the age of 30 years.

Shane was predeceased by his grandparents, Joy Louwenaar, Gordie and Joyce Heighes as well as his uncle Dan Heighes.
Shane was loved by many and kept friends for more than half his life. Once you were friends with Shane it was hard to stay away from him. He was a loving, kind and caring soul with a big heart who would help any one out if they needed him. Shane had a great sense of humour; his laugh was infectious and his smile contagious. He spent much of his time with his family and friends but was usually found on the river doing what he loved most. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent his winters snowboarding or his summers fly fishing, water skiing or showing his dad up on the golf course. He enjoyed his moms cooking and beating her in all sorts of board games that he could hold over her head for weeks to come. He came home teasing his niece and nephew on a daily basis before rough housing with the dog and heading to the gym or his favourite fishing spot.
