Condolences
I had collected a lot of her pottery in the late 90’s when I lived in Calgary. Very creative and Mad Hat-ish. I am sure she was as colourful of a person as her pottery - or I has assumed. I came across her obituary as I am in need of downsizing and have 18 pieces of her life’s work. So try to hear of her passing and please accept my condolences.

Klaus and family, Tom and I are very sorry for your loss. It was fun getting to know Willie on her many trips to Cranbrook and Fairmont. She was always lots of fun!
It is with a very heavy heart that I send my condolences to Klaus and Willie’s family. I met Willie when she initially joined The Crystal Belles choir many years ago. This opened the doors to a beautiful friendship that we had for a long time, but more so, in the recent years. We communicated daily over our Wordle results and chit chatted about many topics. We both were reading the same series of books that we discussed often. I’m proud to say that Willie considered me her best friend, and at one time this past summer she shared her expensive bottle of wine with me. She previously gifted me with one of her clay creations, a Lumpas! I’m so happy that we were able to go out for supper the Thursday before her passing. Willie…I have your wicked sense of humour and kindness ❤️embedded in my heart, and I will never forget you.
On behalf of the Crystal Belles Choir, I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Klaus and Willie’s extended family. Willie’s strong, beautiful voice and wonderful sense of humour during our performances will be sorely missed. Her growly voice singing Hello Dolly will never be replicated. It was Willie who strolled through the audience with her bubble machine, singing Tiny Bubbles, squawked her infamous yellow rubber chicken during She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain, played spoons during Good Old Mountain Dew and who can forget her lit up necklace of Christmas lights! Oh Willie…you will be in our hearts forever and you will not be forgotten. Thank you for the life that you gave our Choir. We will miss you terribly.
