Obituary of Mary Mooney
November 23, 1947 – Sarnia, Ontario
September 7, 2022 – Picton, Ontario
Suddenly entered into rest at Hallowell House Long Term Care Facility, Picton, Ontario, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, Mary Mooney, formerly of Calgary, Alberta, died at the age of 74.
She was the daughter of the late Allan and Nellie Clark (nee Brown) and loving wife of the late Peter Mooney. Mary was the cherished mother of Hilary Tugwood (Dave) of Picton, ON and David Mooney (Tammy) of Kelowna, BC. She was the dearest grandmother of Darren, Emily, Melanie, Nicole, Jason; and great-grandmother of Colton, Evan, Reuben, Kadence, Kylie and the late Quinn. Mary is survived by her brother John Clark (Jean) of Fredericton, NB and she will be fondly remembered by her nephew Aaron, and her nieces Shevaun and Alanna.
Mrs. Mooney rested at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). In keeping with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
