Condolences
We just learned that Ian had passed away a few months ago. We met Ian and Eileen when our family of five rented their Cedar Grove cabin. They were such a fun and welcoming couple! We enjoyed many visits in their own cottage, boat rides, paddle boat, etc.. We stayed connected over the years with Christmas letters and the occasional visits. Our condolences to all of the family.
Sincerely,
Ron and Carol Jeremy (Edmonton, AB)
Please note that the Funeral will be held at St. Lukes Church at 11 a.m. November 3rd. There will be a gathering after the service in the Church Hall. We will be serving refreshments, sandwiches and desserts. We hope that all will stay and visit and perhaps share some stories.
My deepest condolences to you all for the loss of your father. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
God Bless you all as you grieve.
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad and I am sending my deepest condolences to all the family
Blessings to you all

Mr. Kilpatrick was my PE teacher in grade 11, I still have great memories from that class. He always reminded me of my Dad, a gruff teddy bear. One who would do whatever he could to help a student the best way he knew how. Strength, kindness and humor a wonderful combination, know he touched many lives… especially mine.
I can not say that I had the bounty of working with your dear dad, but I knew him through the school system. I was truly touched by this beautiful tribute. My husband and I were teachers in the system for almost 30 years, and my husband taught with your mom at Father Lacombe. Your dad was a remarkable man who led a life of service. I will keep your dad and your family in my prayers. Kristl Wilberger
My deepest condolences to the Kilpatrick family. I am one of his many student/athletes that are thankful for the positive impact he has made as a football Coach and teacher at St. Francis Highschool. His hard-nosed approach on the field was balanced with humor and wit. As one of my mentors, I have borrowed from his persona in my mentoring of student atheletes as a volunteer career Foitball coach at St.Francis and the University of Calgary. In case he was working in his yard, my walk turned into a jog past Coach's home with hope I hear his "Hey Laratta!" to make my day! One football season with Coach and many great memories. Thanks Coach Kilpatrick , Go Browns!

The first time I met Ian I sat next to him on a plane. It was a red eye to Toronto and we didn’t talk until we were stuck on the tarmac due to an ice storm. That was when we realized I was really good friends with his daughter Aurele which I realized after he bragged to me about all of his children and how proud he was. I’m so sorry for your families loss.
We are sorry to hear that Ian has passed away. I was a colleague of Ian's at St. Francis High School; in Calgary for 11 years. We spent many fun hours coaching the Junior Browns Football team and Track and Field. He was dedicated to his profession and the students he taught both in and out of the classroom. Our condolences and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. May you find peace and comfort in the memories you share as you gather to say goodbye to Ian.
