Obituary of Brittany Marie Stinn

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brittany Marie Stinn, our beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and great-niece of Calgary, AB, who passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the age of 33 years.

Brittany was born in Calgary, AB on April 6, 1989. She attended St. Catherine’s elementary school, St. Stephen’s Junior High School, then graduated from EP Scarlett High School. 

Brittany’s zest and enthusiasm touched an unimaginable number of lives. She was a bright light and constant spark for so many people.  Always ready to get in a picture (her good side of course) and share her light.  Brittany’s positive energy and out-going personality helped make her presence known whenever she entered a room.  She always spoke with everyone, making them all feel important.  She made friends so easily; she could walk into a room and just start talking to people…even if they didn’t want to listen. Her warmth and genuineness were just a few of her greatest gifts and she spread that gift so easily.

Her memory, and love for her family will be remembered and cherished by parents Michelle and Darryl Stinn, brother Dallas, grandma Marie, and grandpa Sylvan.  There are many aunts, uncles and cousins that are also left to mourn: aunt Marni, uncle Darrin (cousins, Haley and Grayson), uncle Stanley, aunt Michelle (cousin Jennifer), aunt Cheryl, uncle Danny (cousins, Samantha and Zach), aunt Patti, uncle Joe (cousins, Cassidy, Jake, Luke), uncle Gary, aunt Brenda (cousin Jordan), uncle Sean, aunt Paula (cousins, Caitlin and Jason), and so many more extended family members that meant so much to her. Brittany was predeceased by her grandpa Gary and grandma Dorothy.

Brittany, we love you past the moon and miss you beyond the stars.  You will always be the bright light that shines in our hearts.

A Celebration of Brittany and Michelle’s Lives will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.  Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
