Obituary of Arlene Starr Shadbolt
July 11, 1945 – East York, Ontario
September 23, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta
Arlene Starr Shadbolt (nee Rowell), of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully Friday, September 23, 2022, at the age of 77 years.
Arlene will be most remembered by all as a devoted military wife. She was also a caring, loyal, and kind-hearted, spirit who would do anything for the ones she loved.
Arlene leaves behind her loving husband Shad of 60 years, her son and daughter-in-law Fred and Heather of Saint John, NB; her two daughters, Patti of Calgary, AB and Sharon of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren, Realene, Brandon, Tim, and Nick; and two great-grandchildren, Liam and Adalynn. Arlene is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Larry of Wasaga Beach, ON, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Arlene was predeceased by her parents Pearl Rowell (nee Starr) and Fredrick Rowell.
Arlene’s last wish is that you hug the ones you love!
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
