Condolences
Verna was the best neighbour anyone could have. We moved in beside her and Alan when I was 4 years old, and she was always ready with a cold drink when we’d lose our ball over the fence. I spent many afternoons playing with her cats and eating her whipped shortbread. She was a staple on our street and she will be sorely missed.
Our condolences Dan and Family.
Your mother was a lovely woman with a lot to share with the world. She was kind, giving and funny.
She laughed when I told her I raided her garden as a kid. The world will be a much emptier place without her.
My sincere sympathies to Dan and the family. As a little girl I remember Verna being our closest neighbor, Dan and I would play in his sandbox regularly and Verna would always have Kool-aid ready to quench our thirst on a hot summer day. She would take us off in her car for little adventures and always there for a cup of sugar that mom might need to borrow. I will always remember the sweet lady she was. RIP Verna.
