Obituary of Michelle Stinn

August 27, 1968 – Edmonton, Alberta

October 3, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michelle Stinn, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, aunt, niece, and cousin, on Monday, October 3, 2022, in Calgary, AB.

Michelle was born in Edmonton, AB on August 27, 1968, to Gary and Marie Gay. The family moved to Calgary and Michelle attended St. Catherine’s Elementary School, Springbank Junior High School, then graduated from Grandin High School. She went on to the University of Calgary to pursue her love of math and education.

Michelle’s memory, and love for her family will be remembered and cherished by her loving husband Darryl Stinn and son Dallas,  her mother Marie, sister Marni, brother-in-law Darrin (Haley and Grayson), father-in-law Sylvan, brother-in-law, Stanley and sister-in-law Michelle (Jennifer); brother-in-law Gary and sister-in-law Brenda (Jordan); sister-in-law Cheryl and brother-in-law Danny (Samantha and Zach); brother-in-law Sean and sister-in-law Paula (Caitlin and Jason); sister-in-law Patti and brother-in-law Joe (Cassidy, Jake, Luke); and so many more extended family members and so many friends that meant so much to her.

Michelle was predeceased by her daughter Brittany, father Gary, and her mother-in-law, Dorothy.

There was no project too large for Michelle; she would always lend a helping hand and ensured the job at hand was done quickly, efficiently, and precisely. Michelle touched so many lives during her numerous years in the hospitality industry and then in the commercial construction industry. Michelle inspired all around her to be more healthy! Her bright light and big heart left us way too soon, but we will remember her warmth, love, and generosity. 

We love you past the moon and miss you beyond the stars.

You will always be the bright light that shines in our hearts.

As everyone knows, Michelle and Brittany were always planning and making events unique. Their Celebration of Life will have a theme, “White with a Splash of Color”. This was one of their favorite events that they enjoyed attending. Please, dress accordingly in your whitest whites with a pop of color on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40^th Street SE, Calgary, AB), followed by a reception.
