Condolences
Our sincere sympathy Stephen and Thomas and families in this sad time.
We have fond memories of Fred and Alice at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Winnipeg.
Our deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear Father and my dear friend Freddie, since childhood, when he lived with our family in Winnipeg. We would go on outings to the park and trips to the beach. As a little girl, it was always fun and exciting to be around Freddie and his friends. I still have a silver necklace and a shell box that he gave me after he returned from a trip and he would always hide the biggest basket of chocolates for Easter.
The room lit up when Freddie smiled! And his laugh was pure joy!
Whenever we spoke on the phone, he always commented on how grateful he was for his dear Family and of course how much he missed Alice.
I miss you Freddie. Thank you for all the sweet memories.
" We all share memories of this his beautiful soul
a wonderful person and a life that held so much meaning"
Love und Aufwiedersehen,
Marion, David and Family

My deepest condolences Stephen and Tom and families on the loss of your dad. He was a wonderful man that I am truly fortunate and blessed to have known. May you take comfort in knowing that he is fondly remembered by many and respected for his warm and gentle demeanour and for his dedication to his faith.
Loving thoughts to Stephen and Thomas and families at this time.
Fred is a man that will live on in my memory! I met him at Royal Park where I am a volunteer. I remember meeting him for the first time when he peeked in the door one Friday morning when I was running my little exercise program.
I was immediately drawn to him as his smile was infectious. I quickly explained that he should join us the following week which she did.
From day one we were friends.
My favourite times were our dances at happy hour. He would want me to dance even before I was finished my task of serving drinks to people.
Then when I was available he wanted me to mostly dance with him!
We laughed and had fun together.
He would say “Why don’t more people get up and dance? Don’t they know how to have fun?”
We developed a strong bond. Fred was my buddy. Whenever I ever arrived at Royal Park for an activity I knocked on his door to make sure he remembered and he attended most of them.
I was amazed at how classy he dressed for a man his age. He looked very sharp ALL the time.
And I loved his hats!
He talked a lot about his dear Alice and what a great lady she was and how much he missed her. It was very evident that they had a wonderful life together.
It was also very evident how much joy his granddaughter McKenzie brought to his life. What a lovely girl! We met on many occasions.
Rest in peace my dear friend.
I miss you!
