Obituary of Barbara Jean Gallivan

August 18, 1976 – Valleyview, Alberta

October 15, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Barbara was born in Valleyview, Alberta, to James Cormac Gallivan and Beverly Gallivan. She lived in the Lower Mainland and Victoria on Vancouver Island, BC, through her early years. It was in her teen years when Barbara and her sister Jennifer return back to live in Valleyview, AB.

It was there that she had met Michael Gordon Smith and together moved to Grande Prairie, AB. On April 18, 1997, Barbara had a baby boy, Tristan James Gallivan Smith. On February 1, 2000, Ocean Pearl Gallivan was born.

Barbara moved again to Grande Cache AB in 2004. In 2005, Barbara had met Bradley Michael Belcourt and on September 25, 2006, Barbara had a baby boy, Benjiman Ray Belcourt. In April of 2007, Bradley, Barbara, and Ben moved to Calgary, AB.

Barbara remained in Calgary until her final moments and was surrounded by immediate family in the comfort of her home, where she passed peacefully after a lengthy determined battle.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
