Obituary of Patti Jay Wildey

January 1, 1956 - Swift Current, Saskatchewan

October 15, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Patti Wildey, beloved wife of Dennis Wildey of Calgary, AB, passed away at the age of 66 years on Saturday, October 15, 2022 with her husband by her side. Although born in Swift Current, SK, she spent most of her life in Calgary, where she married her devoted husband in 1974.

Besides her loving husband, Patti is survived by her daughter, Kassi; son, Josh (Margaux); granddaughters, Jade and Victoria; siblings, Vicki, Wendi and Kelli; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Patti was predeceased by her parents James and Eva Smith.

Although she lived in the inner city, her heart was always with the outdoors. Her love of all animals especially dogs and horses, led her to having a family acreage in Aldersyde.  In the early years, they spent much of their time as a family at the acreage which Patti loved. This is where she enjoyed her horses and dogs.  She spent many hours horseback riding, tending to the animals, and raising her kids. After enduring all the ups and downs, she will always be remembered as the strong, considerate, genuine and candid woman that she was. She had an affinity for butterflies, and whenever her loved ones see one, they will always think of her. 

She is forever missed by all of us, and she is finally at peace.
