Obituary of Chrissie Joan Fielding

Chrissie Fielding (nee Ridehalgh) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the age of 88 years.

Chrissie (affectionately known as Chris by friends and family) was born in Verdun, Montreal, QC, on June 22, 1934. Chris lived in Verdun with her mom Mabel, dad Albert, and two sisters, Dorothy, and Marjorie. Chris married the love of her life, Ronald Fielding, on April 10, 1952. They had four children, one girl Rhonda and three boys, Kris, Britt, and Scott.  Chris accomplished much throughout her life, on many occasions she stated that she was most proud of being a mom. Chris was a great mom! Chris enjoyed drawing by pencil and doing needlepoint. Many of her pieces are framed and hanging in her family’s home. She also was a very accomplished seamstress, making dresses and costumes for her granddaughters, some of which are treasured to this day.

Chris is survived by her daughter, three sons, nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by her spouse Ronald Fielding, and two sisters, Dorothy and Marjorie.
